capt's jimmy gahm and dave bender took tuna customer neal johnson of stanfordville, ny out for a day of bass fishing. with the weather window calling for light and variable we really wanted to push offshore but scheduling issues could not allow that to happen. as it turned out it was a blessing, as two friends went off shore and neither boat had a bite. back to our bass trip, we started the day jigging small bass off sea girt then headed up to the rocks for a nice pick of bass and blues. we ended the day with 5 keeper bass to 20lbs and released another 15-20. we'll see neal next tuna season, hopefully WITHOUT BANANAS! neal, just so you know jimmy and i got the water hose stuck on the props at the dock, it's never happened in 15 years, it's on the bananas!
