capt's jimmy gahm and dave bender took bill meiklejohn, daughter meg, son in law brock and newphew john out for a redemption bass trip. jimmy and i took the family offshore in august for a day troll. the fishing the day before was awesome as we had 8 bigeyes on and landed four to 190lbs. well, as it turned out we arrived back at the 100 squre greeted by heavy seas and grey ugly skies. we heard the fleet crying as there was not a bigeye caught all day and very few small yellowfins. we banged around all day in 4-6' seas and the guys handled it perfectly. we had one white marlin bite and that came unglued, not our day. on the way home jimmy and i were very upset that we took these good folks out on such a crummy trip, so we invited them back this weekend for a bass trip, on us. we had an awesome day keeping three bass for the table, as well as a rare bonito. we released countless small bass and blues and the folks had a great time. jimmy and i laughed all day, as did everyone else it was a great day.
