the Captains
Our mission statement on the Jenny-Lee is a simple one.
For you to have the
most enjoyable and comfortable fishing trip that money
can provide. We feel that the Jenny-Lee is one of the
cleanest and most well equipped sport fishing boat on
the Jersey Shore. From the time we leave the dock until
the time we return you are our primary concern. We have
proven time and again to be one of the hardest working
crews out there. The Jenny-Lee is consistently a fish
producing boat. Your catch is always kept in the best
possible conditions. We will ice down your catch, clean
it and bag it for you, at no extra cost to you or your
guests. We encourage our customers to get involved in
the bait rigging and chunking for tuna fish, we also encourage
our customers to assist in putting out the spread if you
so desire, on the Jenny-Lee it's your charter - We work
for you. Captain Dave Bender
has been fishing offshore for the past fifteen years
and in that time he has become respected industry wide
for his love for big game fishing. Capt Dave has owned
and operated Dave's Heavy Towing in Somerville, New
Jersey for the past 30 years. Dave's Heavy Towing is
one of the largest heavy duty towing operations in New
Jersey. Aside from operating Dave's Heavy Towing and
Jenny-Lee sportfishing Dave is an assistant softball
coach at Lehigh University one of the top division 1
programs on the east coast. In Dave's spare time he
coaches wrestling at Hunterdon Central high school in
Flemington. Dave has written numerous articles on offshore
fishing and they can be seen on our website. Dave has
been married for thirty years to his wife Doreen and
has two kids. Dave 27 who teaches english at Toms River
North and is also a wrestling coach, and Jenny 24 who
is currently playing softball in Holland in an olympic
development league.
I get asked all the time "Why
do I charter such a beautiful boat?". We pride
ourselves on having the cleanest most modern charter
boat in the fleet and we truly enjoy taking people fishing.
On the Jenny-Lee you can do as much or as little as
you like. We encourage the customer to get "hands
on" right along side of us.

our Captains that no one's main source of income comes
from fishing, the love of fishing and taking "You
to the Rip" is why we do it! Captain
Jimmy Gahm
Captain Jimmy Gahm has been offshore fishing since the
late 70's and he owns and operates Peter F. Gahm Plumbing
& Heating in Maplewood, NJ. Jimmy recently moved
to Brielle with his wife Donna and together they enjoy
the beach lifestyle. Captain Jimmy is loved by all the
customers, his soft demeaner and knowledge of fishing
is second to none, Jimmy is known industry wide as a
hard working captain who will do anything to get the
bite for his charter. When Jimmy isn't running the Jenny-Lee
he and donna are out on the "Toyaholic" a
26 Regulator with all the bells and whistles. If you
think the Jenny-Lee is clean, you haven't seen the Toyaholic.
Jenny Lee Sportfishing
is proud to announce that Captain Jimmy has joined the
Shimano pro staff team and Gamma line pro staff team.
He will bring to us this season some of the hottest
and newest Shimano and Gamma fishing tackle.
